Today, I want to share a wild story about tornadoes—and no, not just the ones here in Texas. The other day, I found myself Googling whether anyone had survived being inside a tornado. Turns out, a couple of farmers have, one in Kansas and another in McKinney, Texas, which is just 24 minutes from where I live. Their experiences got me thinking about how life can feel like being inside a tornado, especially as a business owner. Right now, I feel like I'm in the eye of the storm, dealing with lawsuits, business struggles, and the everyday chaos that comes with scaling a company. It feels like everything’s coming at me from all directions, and honestly, some days it’s hard to even get out of bed.
The truth is, I don’t have all the answers. I’m not here to sugarcoat things or pretend like I do. Just like in life, business can be brutal. I’ve faced unethical employees, financial challenges, and moments where everything seemed to be falling apart. But what I've realized is that being in the center of this tornado, as chaotic as it is, is exactly where I need to be. I caused the storm by taking action and building something from the ground up. So, yeah, the storm rages, but I’m the one who created it. That thought actually gives me some peace of mind—it reminds me that there's a purpose behind all this madness.
In the grand scheme of things, tornadoes don’t last forever, and neither do the challenges we face in business. Sure, they can cause chaos and devastation, but eventually, the storm passes. You rebuild, and you move forward. If you're like me, battling through your own storms, know that this season will end. So, keep pushing, face the storm head-on, and when you come out on the other side, you'll be stronger for it. Thanks for tuning in to The Spinoso Podcast.
