In this video, I’ll take you through my journey from zero to 19 Genesis Lifestyle Medicine locations in just four and a half years, sharing key lessons I learned along the way. It's packed with valuable insights on scaling your business, so stick around.

Genesis Lifestyle Medicine emerged from another company, Cell Spark Regenerative Centers, co-founded by Brent Messer and me. We met at a business mastermind group called Arete, where we realized our complementary skills could lead to something great. Initially, Brent wanted me as his medical director, but I proposed a partnership instead, and we moved to Las Vegas to open our first clinic.

Our journey wasn’t without challenges, like almost going bankrupt early on. But we adapted, especially when the FDA’s stance on stem cell treatments prompted us to pivot to services like weight loss, hormone therapy, and aesthetics. This flexibility allowed us to grow from one to 19 locations, with a goal of reaching 35 by the end of 2024.

The key to our success was reinvesting every dollar back into the business, expanding our services, and standardizing our operations. We built a custom EMR and POS system called Zenoti, streamlined our processes, and formed strategic partnerships. We also focused on scaling through mergers and acquisitions, carefully choosing partners who shared our vision and values.

Moving forward, we’re diving into telehealth, online services, and developing our own skincare line and supplements. If I could do it all again, I’d focus solely on cash-pay clinics for faster growth. But overall, our strategic focus and relentless reinvestment have positioned us for continued success.
